CLOSE – Connect 15kV breaker to bus
The 15 kV Circuit Breaker closes after confirming the generator is [Ready to Load] and bus conditions are compatible. Auto-sync checks frequency, voltage and phase.
Confirm [Ready to Load] in the TCP screen header.
On the ATS / switchgear panel: verify the 15 KV LOAD BREAK SWITCH is closed (RED ON).
Generator voltage: 13.8 kV ± 5% of the bus.
Frequency: 60 Hz ± 0.3 Hz.
If auto-sync is active: the system will close the 15 kV breaker automatically when conditions are met.
For manual closing: press the red 15 KV CIRCUIT BREAKER CLOSE/CLOSED pushbutton.
Verify the green OPEN/OPENED indicator turns off — breaker closed.
Monitor: generator load (kW) transfers to the bus with no overcurrent or reverse power alarms.
Adjust the kW setpoint as required (see 'Load Setpoint' procedure).
