Step 1 – Restart Emergency Diesel (Single Unit)

For single-unit operation: EMERGENCY AC must be available BEFORE stopping. Failure to restart the diesel causes inadequate ventilation and post-lube failure.

Without EMERGENCY AC during shutdown, DC backup lube pumps will cycle on/off. AC post-lube (from diesel) is the preferred method.

At the off-skid emergency diesel-generator: start and close all circuit breakers to supply EMERGENCY AC.

On ATS panel: confirm WHITE EMERGENCY SOURCE AVAILABLE light is ON.

Confirm RED EMERGENCY CB CLOSE/CLOSED light is ON.

ATS will automatically transfer from NORMAL to EMERGENCY power source.
