Crank test / purge (no ignition)

Step 1 – Pre-conditions for Crank Test

Crank test (purge crank) is performed with no ignition to verify the start system, purge the exhaust, and perform on-crank water wash. All CRANK permissives must be active.

Confirm the turbine is in [Ready] state on the TT4000 screen.

Verify there are NO active shutdown alarms. Correct any indication before proceeding.

Confirm pre/post lube oil pump is running and lube oil pressure is normal.

Confirm the gas fuel valve (FSV) is CLOSED for crank with no ignition.

Exhaust cover removed. Exhaust area clear of personnel.

Notify supervisor and area personnel that a crank test will be performed.
