Step 1 – Prepare EMERGENCY AC Power

For single-unit operation: the off-skid emergency diesel-generator MUST be running before you stop the SMT60.

Without EMERGENCY AC power during shutdown, the enclosure will not ventilate and the AC post-lube pump will not function. DC backup pumps will cycle — this is the less preferred method.

At the ATS/Switchgear panel, confirm green EMERGENCY CB OPEN/OPENED light is on.

Put the BLACK START/HAND/BLACK STOP selector switch into the BLACK STOP position.

At the off-skid emergency diesel-generator, start the diesel-generator and close all circuit breakers so EMERGENCY power is supplied.

White EMERGENCY SOURCE AVAILABLE light on; red EMERGENCY CB CLOSE/CLOSED light on; green NORMAL CB OPEN/OPENED light on.
